This is characterized by stiffness and pain in the shoulder joint .
Commonly seen in diabetic patients and in people above 40 years
Shoulder joint is made up of bones, ligaments and tendons that are encased in a capsule of connective tissues. Frozen shoulder occurs when this capsule thickens and tightens around the shoulder joints, restricting its movements.
- Freezing stage : Any movement will be painful
- Frozen stage : Pain starts diminishing, but shoulder become more stiff
- Resolving stage / Thawing stage : Range of motion in your shoulder begins to improve
Most common reason is lack of mobility of shoulder, if it is due to injury, broken arm or a stroke. In such cases one has to take the advice of doctor for exercises and treatments.
Normally with science and symptoms it is possible for doctors to identify the condition if required X-Ray or MRI can be taken.
This condition is called as Apabahuka. It is caused due to the imbalance in the vata and kapha doshas.
