Dr Smita Kattigotur, B.A.M.S

Director of Practice & Governance - Travancore Ayurveda

Dr. Smita is extremely passionate about bringing the benefits of Ayurveda to the world and has contributed immensely to this cause through numerous activities in this field. Dr. Smita has over 20 years of experience in Ayurveda treatments and management of diseases and is an accomplished Ayurvedic specialist. Dr. Smita heads the entire organisation and is a Senior Management member of the company who is instrumental in setting up all the clinics, practices and hospitals of Travancore Ayurveda. Dr. Smita also heads the panel of experienced Doctors in Travancore Ayurveda and is the Head of Practice and Governance.

Dr. Smita has immense experience in the NABH Accreditation process, along with her panel of Doctors, has ensured that most of the clinics of Travancore Ayurveda are NABH Accredited. Dr. Smita has set up her unique Governance practices to ensure treatments are most effective through a seamless monitoring process, which gives absolute confidence and transparency to the patients.

Dr. Smita has graduated BAMS from BM Kankanwadi Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya, Belgaum, Karnataka. Dr. Smita holds a Diploma in Panchakarma – Doctor’s training course from the Centre for Indian Medicine, Thrissur, Kerala. Completed the Certificate course on (a) Legal and statutory guidelines for Ayurvedic practitioners and (b) Level of documentation, clinical and general & internal audit and quality indicators. Dr. Smita has completed the Certificate course in Ayurvedic Dermatology from Diksha Learning as a part of specialisation.

Dr. Smita has extensive experience in treating skin diseases, Osteoarthritis, spondylitis, upper respiratory diseases, Postnatal care (Mathruraksha), joint pain disorders, weight management, and stress-related ailments.

Dr. Smita is a public speaker, blogger and has conducted webinars on various subjects and also released many very useful and informative YouTube videos on various diseases for the benefit of the public.

Syed Mubeena

Head - Growth & Digital Strategy

Syed Mubeena is an enthusiastic and well-experienced Business Development Head, who believes that Ayurveda can change the lifestyle of the present and future generations. Syed Mubeena has over 14 years of experience in the Ayurveda industry in various departments, such as Centre Manager, Human Resources, Customer Relationship, Administration, Sales, and Marketing.

Syed Mubeena is one of the Senior Management of the company and has been instrumental in growing all the clinics and hospitals of Travancore Ayurveda.

Syed Mubeena heads the Business development activities of Travancore Ayurveda and has sales, marketing, and patient care counsellors reporting to her. She gives training to patient care counsellors, customer relationship managers, and the marketing team to help improve their skills and performance.

Syed Mubeena has successfully developed the marketing campaigns by conducting Medical camps and campaigns across cities and leading the organisation’s Digital Marketing campaigns. She develops, executes, and oversees a business strategy that prioritises growth and positive customer ratings and reviews.

Syed Mubeena has graduated from Loyola Degree College from Sri Venkateshwara University and has a master’s in business administration from Osmania University. She completed a successfully certified course in Sales and Marketing from Juno Business School.

Syed Mubeena’s main focus is on developing the markets across cities and identifying key locations for setting up more clinics and hospitals.

Dr. Sreelakshmi Vijay, B.A.M.S

Dr. Sreelakshmi Vijay is from Kannur, Kerala, where she lived in the vicinity of a thick green belt of medicinal plants and herbs, which influenced her to pursue her passion in Ayurveda and classical medicines. Dr. Sreelakshmi has over 11 years of experience in Ayurveda and has served well-known hospitals such as Kottakal Aryavaidyasala, Athreyam Ayurveda and Ittoozhi Namboodiris Ayurveda.

Dr. Sreelakshmi has graduated BAMS from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences, Bangalore in 2013 and completed her internship from Mangalore and Thrissur. Completed the Certificate course on (a) Legal and statutory guidelines for Ayurvedic practitioners and (b) Level of documentation, clinical and general & internal audit and quality indicators. Dr. Sreelakshmi has completed the Certificate course in Ayurvedic Dermatology from Diksha Learning as a part of specialisation.

Dr. Sreelakshmi has been contributing to the organisation in various areas such as pharmacy, software implementation and therapist management. Dr. Sreelakshmi heads the Software Implementation Project “SITA”, the integrated software platform of Travancore Ayurveda. Dr. Sreelakshmi heads the multi-brand ayurveda pharmacy and manages the procurement and distribution of various medicines and products. Dr. Sreelakshmi is also responsible for the manufacturing of Travancore Ayurverda’s own brand of medicines and products.

Dr. Sreelakshmi is specialised in treatments for eyes, joint pains, skin-related ailments, apart from handling all chronic diseases.

Rama Bharathi

Business Development Manager

Rama Bharathi is a multifaceted professional with a robust background in microbiology and extensive experience spanning customer relations, patient care, counselling, and corporate relations within the Ayurveda industry. With over three years of leadership experience in guiding teams in customer relations, she has established herself as a seasoned leader. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Pragathi Women’s Degree College, Osmania University, and a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Osmania University, Rama Bharathi seamlessly integrates scientific expertise with her innate leadership qualities. Her experience as a patient care counsellor and her corporate relations endeavours in Ayurveda enhance her commitment to holistic healthcare and fostering meaningful industry connections.

Rama Bharathi’s success in spreading awareness about the benefits of Ayurveda through webinars, corporate camps, seminars, and campaigns indicates a strong dedication to promoting holistic health and well-being. By effectively utilising various platforms and events, Rama Bharathi is contributing significantly to educating people about Ayurveda and empowering them to incorporate its principles into their lives for better health outcomes.

Dr. Anjali Sivadas B.A.M.S.

Head of Practice, Bangalore

Dr. Anjali Sivadas, a highly respected Ayurvedic practitioner, has been re-appointed as the Head of Practice for Bangalore at Travancore Ayurveda. With a degree from KAMC, Mangalore (Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka), Dr. Anjali brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to Ayurveda.

Originally from Kannur, Kerala, Dr. Anjali’s holistic approach and passion for Ayurveda make her a standout in her field. Her specialisation includes treating arthritis, spinal issues, headaches, stress, autoimmune conditions, skin disorders, and anorectal cases, as well as musculoskeletal, neurological, gynaecological concerns, and skin diseases.

In her role, Dr. Anjali combines her clinical expertise with exceptional managerial skills. She has previously served as the Centre Head at Travancore Ayurveda’s Jayanagar centre, where she demonstrated strong administrative and planning capabilities.

Dr Anjali’s contributions extend beyond the clinic; she has served with the Government of Karnataka during the COVID-19 pandemic, gaining valuable experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. A skilled communicator and multilingual in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and English, she is dedicated to spreading awareness of Ayurveda through seminars, workshops, and conferences.

Her scientific approach, grounded in rational principles, ensures personalised and effective treatment for every patient, reflecting her dedication to enhancing health and well-being through Ayurveda.
